At Holcim, we’re on a mission to decarbonize building, and enable circular, low-carbon, energy-efficient, and regenerative buildings and cities. That’s why we’re launching the Holcim Sustainable Construction Academy, which we developed with like-minded experts: academics from ETH Zurich and University of Cambridge, and leading experts from pioneering companies like Canary Wharf Group, Arup and Ramboll. It’s a one-stop-shop learning journey on sustainable construction – from design and materials to new technologies and circularity – for architects, engineers, developers and urban planners. And it’s more than just a learning portal – it’s a movement to accelerate the shift to more sustainable and regenerative building.
What are the fees for these courses?
All courses on the Holcim Sustainable Construction are free of charge. Simply register and enroll in any courses you choose.
What is the right order to take these courses?
The courses are meant to be modular, with varying levels of difficulty aimed at learners with different backgrounds. You may first look into the Basic-level courses for an introduction to sustainable construction topics, or you may begin with the more specialized and Intermediate-level topic of "Designing with Concrete". It's up to you and your self-assessment of your knowledge level.
What happens if I fail to gain a certificate for a course?
If you fail to get a minimum grade of 80% in any course, you may request for a reset through this contact form. Please state your username and the topics that you would like to reset in your message.

Visit our course catalog to explore the range of courses that we offer and click on any link to view the course info page. You’ll see all the important details about the course, and have the opportunity to enroll. In order to enroll in courses on http://holcimacademy.com you’ll need to register and create an account. Once you select Enroll Now, you can begin your learning journey.
How can I earn a certificate?
To earn a verified certificate, you must complete and pass the course with a grade that is equal to or above the minimum of 80%. This certificate will be delivered digitally through your Learner Dashboard on the platform. You may either share this on LinkedIn as a certificate credential, on Twitter and Facebook as a post, or you may grab a screenshot of the certificate and share it on any of your preferred social media platforms.
